WILKES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
2nd Annual Clay Classic
PARTICIPANT WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Wilkes Chamber of Commerce 2nd Annual Clay Classic ("Event"), I acknowledge and agree to the following:
I understand that participation in sporting clay shooting activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the use and discharge of firearms, flying clay targets and fragments, equipment malfunction, weather conditions, uneven terrain, the actions of other participants, and the possibility of serious injury, illness, property damage, or death.
I voluntarily choose to participate in the Event and knowingly assume all risks associated with my participation, whether known or unknown.
I hereby release, waive, and discharge the Wilkes Chamber of Commerce, the Wilkes Chamber Foundation, Hidden Brook Sporting Club, event sponsors, volunteers, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to my participation in the Event, including those resulting from ordinary negligence.
I certify that I am legally permitted to possess and use firearms under applicable federal, state, and local laws and that I will comply with all event and range safety rules. I agree to wear appropriate eye and ear protection while participating and understand that unsafe conduct may result in removal from the Event without refund.
I authorize emergency medical treatment should it become necessary and understand that I am responsible for any associated costs.
I grant permission to the Wilkes Chamber of Commerce and its representatives to photograph, video record, and otherwise capture my participation in the Event and to use such materials for promotional, educational, fundraising, and marketing purposes without compensation.
By checking the acknowledgment box and submitting my registration, I confirm that I have carefully read this Waiver, Release of Liability, and Assumption of Risk Agreement, understand its contents, and agree to be bound by its terms. I further certify that I am at least 18 years of age.
